OUR APPROACH
Spaces that evolve with the people who inhabit them.
Createctura is a Spain-based practice bringing together art, architecture, design and pedagogy. We develop installations, play environments, workshops and professional learning for schools, museums and cultural organisations.
We work with materials, light, sound and spatial relationships to offer different ways to participate. Our approach, Inhabited Scenographies, treats an environment as something that evolves through the actions of those who inhabit it.

SCHOOL ENVIRONMENTS
Espacio al Cubo · An evolving school environment
At CEIP Eloy Villanueva in Santander, an underused hall became a changing environment for play and exploration between 2017 and 2020. Repeated visits allowed children to encounter familiar structures in new arrangements.
MATERIAL EXPLORATION
Archipiélago de Madera · Making and playing together
The 2024 edition at Palacio de Pronillo in Santander used wood as a starting point for construction, mechanisms, characters and shared stories. Its different spaces invited families and educators to explore materials at different scales.
EARLY-YEARS PERFORMANCE
Ludi · Scenography for early-years performance
A creation by Teatro Paraíso in collaboration with Createctura. Irene Fernández contributed scenography and co-developed the dramaturgy with Rosa A. García; lighting was designed by Ana Fernández and Irene Fernández.

PROFESSIONAL LEARNING · IN ENGLISH

We are opening our professional learning to English-speaking participants, beginning with Inhabited Scenographies. The module connects conceptual resources with examples from our practice. Visit the course page for the current programme, dates and launch offer.
Course texts and live sessions are in English. Recorded materials include Spanish-language videos with English subtitles.
